Precare:
Skin should be healthy and free of any irritation.
Bleeding during the treatment can affect results, please avoid any blood thinning medications 72 hours before our appointment. Any botox or other injectables, lasers, peels and waxing treatments should take place no sooner than two weeks before your appointment. All clients must be off accutane for at least one year and and take a break from all retinoids, acids and vitamin c serums for two weeks.
Refrain from alcohol or an excess amount of caffeine within 24 hours of our appointment.
Results vary from person to person: poor aftercare, skin type, health and lifestyle may affect your outcome. Results are never guaranteed, please keep this in mind before you decide to get tattooed.
Aftercare:
Taking care of your new brows properly will greatly effect your final results, not following aftercare instructions could cause poor retention and may result in you needing a second touch up appointment at an additional charge.
Less is more! The key is keeping your brows clean and dry while they are healing. Excessive moisture will greatly effect your overall outcome.
I will be sending you home with ointment on your brows, in addition to everything you need to care for your new brows. You'll want to gently wipe your brows with a cleansing wipe upon arriving home and then that's about it! A small amount of a thin moisturizer like coconut oil while they are flaky and dry is fine, this is helpful for clients with drier skin, but I would avoid anything heavier and only use this sparingly. Using oil blotting papers can help control oil, especially if your skin tends to be oily.
You'll want to avoid all cosmetics of any kind in the brow area until they are fully healed. Limit long showers, getting your brows wet and sweating the entire healing period. This is absolutely imperative for best results. Avoid the urge to scratch and pick off any dry skin and flakiness that may occur while they are healing. For most clients, healing time is about 10-14 days.
Your new brows will go through a lot of different stages while they are healing.
What to expect:
Day 1: Slight redness, lots of detail.
Day 2-4: Brows will look a little darker while they are forming scabs and healing.
Day 5-10: Brows make look patchy and light in certain areas while the scabs are flaking off.
Day 10-14: The new skin healing over top of the pigment is fresh and can make pigment look light. Don't panic!
Tattooing is always a multiple appointment process to achieve the absolute best results and isn’t finished until after our touch up appointment. At your follow up appointment we will make any adjustments that need to be made to your shape and color, touch up any light spots and add density to sparse areas.
What’s the process like?
I start each appointment with an in depth consultation, we’ll talk about your goals and discuss color and style and what shape is going to be best for you.
I will then draw on a suggested shape for you, keeping in mind your bone structure, then we will work together, adjusting to your preference. Measurements are also taken to insure symmetry. I have a large selection of pigments that we will pick from to match your natural brow hair, keeping in mind your skin tone.
I apply numbing and you fill out some paperwork then we get started. The whole process takes about 2 - 3 hours.
Before you book:
Make sure to plan your appointment around any vacations or events. You won’t be able to get your brows wet for 10 days after your appointment.
Make sure you read over the description of the different type of eyebrow services, not every style is suited for all clients!
